Leaked footage reveals Samsung Galaxy Ring's health monitoring features in use
Discover the Samsung Galaxy Ring with its compact design, impressive battery life, and advanced health features. Unveiling at Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 10.
Android Authority reports that they've uncovered several important health features of the Samsung Galaxy Ring through a teardown of the Samsung Health APK.
The upcoming Samsung wearable will provide capabilities for monitoring heart rate and stress levels. Additionally, users will have the ability to predict menstrual cycles and measure skin temperature.
Similar to the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch, the Snore Detection feature records timestamped audio of snoring and heavy breathing. This function requires a nearby Samsung phone to be connected and charging, with permission granted to the Samsung Health app for audio recording.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring isn't introducing groundbreaking features, as they are already present in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. However, its compact and slim design compared to bulkier smartwatches could make a significant impact on the fitness tracker market.
The Galaxy Ring is rumored to offer impressive battery longevity
Based on FCC documents, the Galaxy Ring will be available in sizes 5 to 12, with battery capacities of 17mAh, 18.5mAh, and 22mAh, respectively. Samsung asserts that the Ring will provide up to nine days of battery usage on a full charge.
The official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Ring is anticipated at Samsung's Unpacked event scheduled for July 10. There's a likelihood that Samsung will also introduce their next-generation smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 7, at the same event.
